Some of us may have the pleasure of going away on weekends while some stay in the City indulging in weekend barbeques or evenings out

It's easy to eat a staggering amount of calories when indulging

Ok so maybe you don’t care if you gain any weight, maybe you are an ectomorph who rides 200km a day on the weekends…..but if not how do we change our habits?

👉👉#Habits are associated with environment

👉If you ALWAYS do the same things in that environment your behaviour becomes attached to the environment

👉So we need to either change the environment or gradually change the habits that are associated with that environment

Here are a few ideas to help reduce the calorie splurge on weekends:👇

👉Plan meals ahead of time so that you know how many indulgent meals you are having. Balance those with some lighter meals. For example, when a steak dinner is on the menu have a lighter lunch.

When you have a blowout brunch plan fish and salad for the evening meal. Still make it taste amazing so it feels great to eat…..still do the barbequing…..just make it a bit lighter

👉To cut back on alcohol associated with the environment like a cottage or bar try to start later in the day or finish drinking earlier (alcohol messes sleep so if you want to wake up with the birds don’t drink until bedtime). Gradually reduce the amount you have until its more reasonable or pick one weekend day to drink more and one day to drink less

👉When going away bring less junk food with you. Out of sight out of mind

👉Also plan to bring food with you when visiting that fits in with your own meal plan
