You are headed out on ā±ļøšļøā±ļø#VACATION with great intentions of keeping up your workouts while you are away.
But what if you have great intentions and then you failš?
Did you set yourself up for āŗļøsuccess or a big plummet š·off the routine you have so carefully developed?
Should you feel guilty or should you set your self up by deciding ahead of time that you are going to take a break or change the type of exercise you do

Personally, I always workout on vacation. But thatās me. When I donāt workout, I get grumpy š”& everyone around me notices. I just donāt feel the same-my energy goes down & donāt sleep as well nor do I get that feeling I get every morning after I work out. So, for me not exercising does not work!
BUT I am not saying everyone feels this way-some people love having a guilt free breakšššš and honestly it may make sense for you to REST and RECOVER
Some people train so hard on a regular basis that their body needs a workout break-
Take my daughter who is a competitive š¤øāāļøgymnast. They train 4 hours per day. And right nowā¦during #Summer training they are working the kids so hard that even she feels sore. So yep, I let her play on her ipad when we are away as I know that her body needs to recover
Now there could be šREAL RISKSš to losing your routine if you have only been keeping your routine going for a short period of time. If itās new and not well ingrained you may not want to chance changing it just yet. But you could change the type of activity you are doing and just make sure your routine stays in place
Pros:
šOpportunity to try different types of exercise or change things up
šCan offset effects of extra eating
šCan do fun #Outdooractivities
šOffers your body a chance to recover after a sustained period of #intenseworkouts
šAllows for the opportunity to return to the routine with fresh motivation
Cons:
šCould be hard to get back to #routine especially if your routine is newly established
šExtended inactivity can lead to lost gains and reduced endurance
šCould result in more weight gain
