It is early morning at 5:00
💛You will find me already have drank my warm lemon water. Filled a nice cup of black coffee. And now I’m sitting in my chair. Journaling first, followed by a good book that continues my journey of growth.
💛But wait it’s Sunday?!
Shouldn’t you be sleeping in?
Why don’t you take a break on the weekends?
💛This is what creating a habit and forming a solid routine looks like. I love ....LOVE my mornings. If I slept in I would not get these couple hours of alone time to reflect and grow. Did you know that dedicated routines actually make more room for spontaneity! It gives you the time to do what is most important first & then have time for other things
💛If you set out a routine each day you are more likely to accomplish what you need to do. You won't be scrambling at the end of the day to catch up on your most important tasks
💛Routines are linked to improved mental and physical health! Knowing what you have planned will help you feel more organized & for most of us that means more peace.
💛Having a good routine sets the tone daily. It helps decrease stress, makes for a more clear mind and it teaches us how to be disciplined. It means that you don't have to give up your personal time for silly tasks
💛In the evening write down the 5 things you will do the next day. You get only 5 and you need to accomplish these
💛Taking 10 minutes in the evening to plan your next day will save you piles of time. Script out your day.
💛Make sure that you keep YOUR MOST IMPORTANT TASK(S) front of mind. Then schedule mundane tasks around them. Plan in things like making lunches, laundry & walking the dog in the parts of the day where you find yourself to be normally least productive. That way you don't use up brain power & energy unnecessarily.
💛It takes roughly 66 days for a behavior to become automatic.. IE a habit.
💛 And if you are trying to get to the gym in the morning our best trick is to have your clothes laid out beside your bed. Just wake up put them on and get started
